Research data suggests how life sciences companies will face many industry changes during the next ten years. Some of these changes include globalization increases, widespread restructuring, big layoffs, outsourcing of jobs and services, rise of emerging markets, growth of the generic drug market, and more. Additionally, bio/pharma firms expect >50% of their revenues by 2015 will come from products and services that are not offered today according to a recent industry survey of life sciences senior executives. In light of these industry changes and this recent survey statistic, executives need successful strategies and tools to help their organizations manage change in the marketplace, maintain a strong pipeline of products and services, remain profitable, and sustain a high reputation.
This Executive Summit will discuss the business issues most pertinent to life sciences executives in an interactive and information-sharing environment. Through stimulating discussion, participants will enhance their problem-solving abilities and productivity to initiate more collaboration and innovation back at the office. Industry experts and forward-thinkers will present case studies of successful business models that have expanded R&D investments in emerging markets, diversified product/service portfolios, developed new partner/alliance/collaboration models, implemented novel approaches toward product commercialization, and more.
